Peter Sotos rapes the blank page -- again The UK publisher Creation Books just launched a compendium of FIVE(!!) books by the notorious chronicler of sadism, Peter Sotos. "PROXY -- Peter Sotos Pornography 1991-2000" collects the hard to find titles TOOL, INDEX, SPECIAL, LAZY and TICK. A pricey, signed first edition comes with a rare 500 copies only CD by Sotos and Steve Albini.
Also, go to Void Books to get info on Sotos' latest book "Selfish, Little -- The Annotated Lesley Ann Downey".
(Sotos used to be a member of the extreme "power electronics" band Whitehouse. The band now consists of only Philip Best and founder William Bennett.)
Another new title from Creation is ".45 Dangerous Minds" edited by George Petros and Steven Blush. This book collects 45 interviews with celebrities from the world of rock, art, literature and the counter-culture from Seconds Magazine, of which Petros was the editor-in-chief. Among the interviewees: Peter Sotos, Varg Vikernes, Tiny Tim, GG Allin, Joe Coleman, Mike Diana, Anton LaVey, Henry Lee Lucas, Marilyn Manson, Charles Manson, Bobby Beausoleil, Vincent Bugliosi, David Bowie, JG Ballard, Henry Rollins, KarlHeinz Stockhausen, Allen Ginsberg, Lee "Scratch" Perry, and John Waters.

Brush up on your ParanoiaThe conspiracy magazine Paranoia, out of Providence, Rhode Island, just published their 38th issue. The mag has always covered the whole spectrum of conspiracy theories, but in my opinion it too often veers into pure invention and religious and esoteric speculation.
This issue is no exeption. Amongst the contents:
-- Conspiracy Inc. by Robert Guffey.
This is a compendium of various theories, from the ridiculous to the sublime. An above average article that takes a good look at the "theorizing" and the various conflicting beliefs within each theory, like the "Moongate - Did We Land on the Moon?" controversy.
-- Programmed to Kill: Al Hidell Interviews Author David McGowan.
In his book "Programmed to Kill", McGowan claims not only that the Son of Sam wasn't a lone nut killer (just like Maury Terry claimed in the book "The Ultimate Evil") but that almost every serial killer ever was a victim of CIA/FBI mind control. Far fetched? Maybe, but why did George W. Bush pardon Henry Lee Lucas from the death penalty, as the ONLY prisoner ever? He was convicted of numerous counts of first degree murder, and was credited with dozens, maybe hundreds more, some allegedly committed on behalf of a shadowy cult called "Hand of Death".
other articles:
-- The Thousand-Year Elven Holocaust by Nicholas de Vere -- Planet X: "True Sun" of the Incas by Andy Lloyd -- Planned Parenthood and The Negro Project by Tanya Green -- History of MKULTRA by Phillip Fairbanks -- Multimedia Symbiosis and the Evolution of Electronic Life by Dr. Steel -- Vaccines and Human Animal Husbandry by Mark Owen -- Sci-Fi Predictive Programming: The Semiotic Deception of 9-11 by Phillip Collins
Quote from "Conspiracy Inc.", by ecologist Bob Dobbs: "... in software/wetware conditions we just have to think about something collectively and it's done" R. Guffey comments: "If so, the more imaginative conspiracy theorists might be a bit more careful with the apocalyptic scenarios they tend to promote. Though some of these may be illusory today, our collective obsession with them might evoke them into being tomorrow.
WHAT IS COMING AT YOU IS COMING FROM YOU!"

Human MutantsArmand Marie Leroi's tv program "Human Mutants" is shown again on the Discovery Channel at 2300 CET Monday March 28th. I saw it last Monday, and I recommend it strongly. It has mind-boggling information on the variety of human mutations and great footage from the Mütter Museum and other collections of congenital disorders.

Learn about MuslimgauzeThe percussive/ambient/industrial music project Muslimgauze has puzzled many people following obscure music in the last 22 years. Who were they? Only one person, in fact, and he wasn't a muslim and held no islamic beliefs. Bryn Jones put out nearly 200 albums (quite a few of them after his death in '99) and more is on the way.
Excerpt from article:
The late Bryn Jones, best known for his Muslimgauze project, released music under his controversial moniker since 1983, and continues to do so, long after his untimely death in 1999: a back-catalogue of never-before heard material is still slated for release as of this writing.
Muslimgauze was best known for pro-Muslim CD covers, liner notes, song titles, a staggering number of releases, and ethnic-themed music married to innovative western styles. For many, Muslimgauze music ended at the packaging, as his CD covers sometimes depicted the more dramatic elements of the Muslim world. Cases in point are albums like Salaam Alekum, Bastard which depicts a groups of hooded men with a copy of the Quran in one hand and knives in the other; Betrayal features a photo of the late Yasser Arafat shaking hands with Yitzhak Rabin the album title squarely in the middle; and Hamas Arc, which features Muslim women engaged in target practice with hand guns.
Politics and music were inextricably linked for Bryn, and unless one had an in-depth knowledge of the conflicts throughout the Muslim world – especially between Israel and Palestine – Bryn was likely to alienate. Those curious enough to look beyond the record sleeves would encounter beautifully haunting instrumental music; emotionally rich, variedly exotic and entirely unique.
Bryn Jones was born to a Christian middle class family in Manchester, in 1961n and as surviving Mancunian relatives and acquaintances reveal, he had no Muslim or Arab relatives. Nor had Bryn ever subscribed to the Islamic faith at any point in his life.

Holocaust-revisjonismens fallgruberPå Oseania, Prinsens gate 22, torsdag 31. mars kl. 18:00:
Velkommen!

New Sideshow and Variety databaseThis just in from James Taylor, editor of "Shocked & Amazed":
It's been years in the making, but we've waited a bit to make this announcement because, well, we wanted it to be truly ready, not just for the fans and contributors to SHOCKED AND AMAZED!, but for the legion of folks - you're one! - who are either truly "with it" or "for it" or both. And here it is: www.showhistory.com
In one site, www.showhistory.com is an attempt to compile snippets, full-length bios, pictures and assorted anecdotal information on EVERY novelty & variety performer and attraction in the history of such exhibition. From the 1850's to the 1950's, from the heyday of Barnum's freakshows to the dying embers of vaudeville, from the carnival midways of the 1930's to the backend grind shows of today, www.showhistory.com will take you there. It's all about acrobats, albinos, animal acts, anatomical museums, armless wonders, "AT" shows, bearded ladies, black-tent cinema, burlesque & girl shows, circus & carnivals & fairs, circassian beauties, Coney Island, conjoined twins, contortionists, crazy craftsmen and crime shows. It's about daredevils, dime museums, diving horses, dope shows, dwarves and midgets, eccentrics and cranks, equilibrists, ethnic curiosities, fakirs, fat men and women, fire eaters, flea circuses, freak animals, gaffs & hoaxes & fakes and frauds. It's geeks, giants, dog boys & monkey girls, half & half acts, human pincushions, human skeletons, knife throwers & hatchet hurlers, jugglers, half people, lobster boys, long-hairs and long-distance travelers. It's marionettes, men turning to stone, minstrels, musical novelty acts, mummies, panoramas, punk shows, piebald people, pinheads, Punch & Judy and shadowography. It's snake charmers, strong men, swordswallowers, tattooed men & women, thrill & torture shows. It's vaudville and ventriloquists, wax shows and wild folk and Wild West shows. Oh, and did I say it was about so much, much more? Ok, so none of us at www.showhistory.com is crazy enough to believe that getting everything about the show business - every performer, act, show and showman - will ever be accomplished in total. (Hey, it's a big, big business which has never prided itself on its historical memory; besides, new performers and facts come along every day). However, we ARE crazy enough (well, not so crazy, we think) to believe that those of you with facts and stories to tell will want to add to this bottomless encyclopedia of the show business. And we've tried to make that as easy as possible. Roam around www.showhistory.com, get a feel for it, see what's been put out there. And if you have something to add - especially if you're a performer yourself and want to add your biographical information - go directly to the Bulletin Board at http://www.showhistory.com/phpBB/ and let us know what you have. (We've provided templates for the type of information the site needs.) Eventually, we'd like to see the site become a quick and reliable resource for those seeking information on the business' history, information that heretofore has been spread across a wide range of books, archives and private collections, not to ignore individual memories!
We're already getting regular input from Elizabeth "Rattgirl" Anderson and access to the collection of the elusive collector D.B. Doghouse and, of course, there's the voluminous SHOCKED AND AMAZED! archive which will form a large portion of the on-line viewing material as well. And coming in the near future are promised articles/contributions from showman Lee Kolozsy, showman/collector Ken Harck, artist/collectors Joe Coleman and Joe Petro, to name just a few. And we're looking for writers/contributors who have knowledge or specialties particular to the needs of www.showhistory.com, the future repository for everything on the show business. So let us hear from you. Of course, www.showhistory.com is a work in progress and always will be. With help from all you fans and showfolk, though, that progress will benefit us all. See ya on the midway. James Taylor For showhistory.com

Mutated! A history of De-evolution I recently attended a lecture by biologist Armand Marie Leroi, author of the book "Mutants : On Genetic Variety and the Human Body". His book won the prestigious Guardian First Book Award, and he's a recipient of a Scientist for the New Century medal from the Royal Institution of Great Britain. He lectures at the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London.
Leroi claims that every child born has 100 to 300 mutations that their parents don't have. Only genetic engineering at fertilization and in the womb can save humanity from degenerating back into neanderthals, it seems. By studying the extremes of mutations one can learn a whole lot about genes and what it means to be a human being.
