New Sideshow Museum!

It seems the rare artifacts from The Dime Museum in Baltimore has found a new home! This just in from James Taylor of Shocked & Amazed:

It's been long awaited and much rumored: the museum that recreates the true spirit of the old-time dime museums and sideshows, where the variety performers once held sway amongst the strange, the bizarre, the weird, the exotic and the unusual attractions. "When is it going to open?" and "Where's it going to be?" need no longer be questions spoken with bated breath. Already heralded as "a cross between a 19th century English music hall and P. T. Barnum's second American Museum"… it is here… and you're invited.

Parapolitics outta Hull

The political/"para-political" magazine LOBSTER has its 51st issue out.

It's not announced on their web page yet, but amongst the contents are:

-- Di's death revisited, by Terry Hanstock.
-- Robert Kennedy and the Middle East connection, by Paul Todd.
-- Was the Director of Central Intelligence a Soviet agent?, by Michael Holzman
-- The lessons of Lockerbie, by Robin Ramsay.
-- Book reviews

and much more. 52 pages. 3 pounds + postage.

Sample article from Lobster #29: "Conspiracy Theories" and Clandestine Politics.

Editor Robin Ramsay's book "Conspiracy Theories" has been republished as a hardcover with an added index and some updates. Go to pocketessentials.com From the blurb: "Conspiracy Theories? They are all in here - but not just lined up to be ridiculed and dismissed. OK, there is some of that, but the author also tries to sort out the handful of wheat from the choking clouds of intellectual chaff. For among the nonsensical Conspiracy Theory rubbish currently proliferating on the Internet, there are important nuggets of real research about real conspiracies waiting to be mined."

06-06-006

It's been a thousand years since that date came up, and a hundred since 06-06-06. The Church of Satan doesn't hold today as anything significant, but they have a 40th anniversary party to spook x-tian people.

The new version of "The Omen" premieres worldwide today. Mia Farrow is the creepy nanny this time around. We all remember her from another satanically themed classic, "Rosemary's Baby". The film was originally planned for 2005, with completely different actors, as you can see on this premature poster.

Slayer was supposed to have a new album out today, but didn't finish it in time. (But they have the EP "Eternal Pyre" ready, and at 06.06 AM California time today they put a new single, "Cult", out as a downloadable file at iTunes Music Store. )

Speaking of finnish, is this the "Arockalypse"?

Check out balsamia.com for links to great folk-viking metal, including the mighty Glittertind and Feskthrone. Don't miss out on Anton Balsam's own new classic "Sumarnatta".

LA Times: Should We Be Worried About 6-6-06?

Now I'm off to listen to Venom's "At War With Satan", a 20 minute noise-fest found on the album of the same title, and on "Witching Hour -- Best of Venom".

More infernal music at Blackmetal.com. Speculations are rife as to whether 06-06-06 will bring on any "satanic" activity, similiar to and possibly inspired by what went on in Norway in the 90's, as described in the book "Lords of Chaos", soon to be a motion picture directed by Hans Fjellestad of "Moog" fame.

Demonisk Kjettersk Kjeller Kveld

Gjeste-DJ: Carl Abrahamsson (Church of Satan)

Velkommen!
