Headpress #26 / Creeping Flesh #2The esteemed british magazine/book series Headpress will put out its 26th issue appr. in December. It will feature my interview with the director of the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia. Sadly, Gretchen Worden recently passed away so this will stand as one of her very last print interviews. Watch out for it! Also, check out the Mütter Museum book from Blast Books.
Headpress' film book series Creeping Flesh will have its second volume out in December. The cover story is my interview with the director of "Thriller" (aka "They Call Her One-Eye"), just released on dvd from Synapse Films in its previously unavailable uncensored version, with all the super slo-mo filming and hardcore screwing intact. This interview is a more or less unedited conversation with Bo Arne Vibenius.
A shorter edit just ran in the Canadian hand-written smut-film zine "Cinema Sewer" #15. I have issues #13 (w/Bodil Joensen, animal porn star), #14 (Times Square Special w/my review of the Mondo Cane 8 dvd box) and issue #15 (Rollergirl Riot!) for sale. Send me an email at janbruun@online.no and ask for prices and postage to your area.

Asian MagnetismThe latest issue of Bizarre (#91) has an article on sushi chef/inventor Alex Chiu, who claims that his patented specific placement of magnets on your body will cure any illness and even cause eternal life. Apparently he's sold 100 000 magnet units at $20 each. Brian Alexander (author of "Rapture: How Biotech Became the New Religion. A Raucous Tour of Cloning, Transhumanism, and the New Era of Immortality") says: "Alex Chiu is hilarious!" The Sceptics Society says: "Alex Chiu's invention is the single dumbest device I have ever seen". Ah well. Those guys are material fundamentalists. They don't believe in anything. David Woodard has also talked to Chiu for a possible book on obscure inventions. Other features in Bizarre is a lavishingly illustrated Russ Meyer obituary, an article on nazi camp exploitation films and an article on how to wrap your entire body in clingfilm.
